| Description |
My client provides a care pathway for individuals who have suffered from a broad spectrum of neurological injury or disease. Individuals are enabled to move into an intense rehabilitation environment, progressing into slow stream rehabilitation services or back to their own homes. Other services include respite, day care and community outreach programmes for neurological conditions. We are now looking for an accomplished manager with at least 3 years experience to oversee the smooth operation of their home in Northampton.
As the registered manager you will be responsible for ensuring the correct application and monitoring of all relevant statutory legislation including the Health and Social Care Act, Mental Capacity Act, Health & Safety at Work Act, Care Quality Commission Regulations, Essential standards of Quality and Safety, Environmental Health and Employment Law.
Be conversant and have a working knowledge of Continuing Healthcare Criteria (including the DST) and Care Funding Calculator tools liaising (as required) with funding authorities.
To empower, encourage and support effective communication within the homes.
Undertake all Quality Assurance responsibilities in line with the companys quality standards.
In the day to day management and effective co-ordination of all services at a Home, and all staff and services within the home, including maintenance of all company property and grounds.
Furthermore, you will be responsible for the implementation of the homes internal policies and procedures and for informing the Regional Development Manager where these conflict with statutory requirements.
To be considered for this position, you will have a minimum of NVQ 4, and have or be willing to undertake the RMA, and should be able to forge and maintain good working relationships with external professionals, residents and significant others, colleagues at all levels within the Company. High level people skills and social skills are essential attributes.
